Partners

August 12th

Stop the slaughter of Africa’s elephants, which are being decimated due to poaching for ivory.

In Collaboration with WildLife Protection Programs and Foundations

We intend to collaborate with the world’s top Wildlife Protection Foundations on various levels. Not only to sollicit their support world-wide, but also their expertise and research.

These foundations include: World Wildlife Fund, Wildlife Conservation Society, African Wildlife Foundation, Conservation International, International Fund for Animal Welfare, Clinton Global Initiative founded by president Bill Clinton, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

We also hope our film will benefit the foundations we work with, whether through visibility or funding from our investors. We have already been collaborating with the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, a foundation based in Kenya, dedicated to the protection of rhinos and elephants. We have shot extensive footage at their elephant and rhino rescue and rehabilitation program.

The Orphans’ Project exists to offer hope for the future of Kenya’s threatened elephant and rhino populations as they struggle against the threat of poaching for their ivory and horn, and the loss of habitat due to human population pressures and conflict, deforestation and drought. To date the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust has successfully hand-raised over 150 infant elephants and has accomplished its long-term conservation priority by effectively reintegrating orphans back into the wild herds of Tsavo, claiming many healthy wild-born calves from former-orphaned elephants raised in their care. The Trust is also advising us thanks to their extensive experience and research.

Further Potential Partners...

The Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation (originally, the William J. Clinton Foundation) is a nonprofit foundation established by former President of the United States Bill Clinton with the stated mission to “strengthen the capacity of people throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence.”

In 2013, lead by Chelsea Clinton, the Clinton Foundation, Wildlife Conservation Society, African Wildlife Foundation, World Wildlife Fund, International Fund for Animal Welfare, Conservation International and their partners committed to prevent further elephant poaching together.
They announced a three-year $80 million Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Commitment to Action that will bring together NGOs, governments, and concerned citizens to stop the slaughter of Africa’s elephants, which are being decimated due to poaching for ivory.

This coalition of organizations will work with African leaders to support their governments’ efforts to curb elephant poaching and ivory trafficking. They will also work to ‘stop the demand’ internationally by building on current awareness campaigns and promoting engagement with consumer country governments.

This collaborative commitment has massive impact potential for improving the future survival of the world’s last great elephant populations.
The Commitment Makers and their partners commit to funding and facilitating partnerships to advance a new three-pronged strategy that will catalyze a global movement to coordinate and leverage influence, constituencies, and resources to protect key elephant populations from poaching while reducing trafficking and demand for ivory.
